Conceptual portrait / editorial-style branding work at the Vancouver Island studio for Laure Nolte's new Seattle-based Somatic Design project: Energetics of Space
Laure is an architect exploring the intersection of design and energy work, informed by neuroscience and material behavior. She wanted portraits that explored the interface of material behaviour and human behaviour - the relationship between us and the spaces we occupy. We used a slow shutter speed to literally slow this relationship down, to linger in the energetic interface, to allow the lines of body and space to blur and soften.
